«I want to show people that this is what a hero can look like.» His name is Ahmed, Riz Ahmed. Go get ’em! Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for a new comedy series from the UK titled Bait, created by and co-written by and starring actor Riz Ahmed. This is ready for streaming at the end of March, available on Prime Video worldwide. The series premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival a few months ago. In Bait, a struggling actor right on the cusp of landing the role of a lifetime finds himself thrust into a full-blown existential crisis and conspiracy at the same time. «This is either his big break or his last shot.» The gimmick (which is playing on real life rumors) is that Riz Ahmed’s actor character named Shah Latif might be up for the role of James Bond. But is he really? Or is it all just talk? The full cast includes Guz Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Sajid Hasan, Aasiya Shah as «Q», Weruche Opia, and Ritu Arya. It’s similar to the recent Marvel series Wonder Man, but without superhero powers – only the power of being a likeable guy. Enjoy.
